Be transported to Japan with the return of the beloved Flavours of Japan Afternoon Tea at The Lobby Lounge. Following its successful debut last year, Chef Jason brings the exquisite offering back with an updated menu that reimagines classic Japanese sweet and savoury delights. Guests are invited to indulge in an elevated afternoon tea experience that marries traditional Japanese flavours with modern culinary artistry, set within the elegant ambiance of The Lobby Lounge.
Delight in the reimaged Flavours of Japan afternoon tea with Baked Miso Black Cod, highlighting the delicate flavour of Atlantic Cod, perfectly baked and paired with miso eggplant; Charcoal Barbeque Eel Quich blends the smoky, savoury taste of smoked Unagi with the soft, creamy texture of Tamago, all encased in a flaky quiche crust; Japanese Lobster Salad Sandwich combines the rich taste of lobster with the unique flavours of mentaiko, shredded Itokiri Togarashi, and Tobiko, all nestled within a toasted brioche.
For those with a sweet tooth, the Japanese Matcha Roll showcases the distinct flavours of matcha and roasted almond sponge, filled with Hojicha mascarpone cream, offering a perfect balance of sweet and slightly bitter, with a creamy, smooth finish; Mizu Shingen Mochi is a delicate and refreshing bite, featuring the light, jelly-like texture of Mizu Shingen Mochi, dusted with Kinako roasted soybean flour and drizzled with Kuromitsu black honey, while the Kurogoma Ryokucha Mousse blends the earthy flavours of black sesame cream with the light, spongy cake texture.
